Any significant rain on the southern trail?

What do you call a place where man cries to God for just one drop of water to wet his tongue, but none is given? Can you say Hell, divine wrath, the Tribulation?

Amen to what the preacher said. This drought can be traced directly to sin. If you REPENT of your sins, the grace of God will RAIN down upon you. (and the trail)

from what i’ve seen and heard, the north georgia area has been getting some rain in the past couple weeks…still not enough though. i think the worst conditions are around the atlanta area rather than around the trail.

Billy Bob,
I’m, sure glad I don’t live in the south with all you sinners! Ironic, it being the heart of the bible belt and all.

Bones, Let me try a different approach to answering your question. I live in NE TN. We have had a few days of occasional drizzle in the last week, but nothing drought-breaking. From what I’ve heard and seen, though, the higher elevations have gotten more rain. I’m familiar mainly with the section from Hump Mt. to Roan to Iron Mt Gap and Unaka Mt. The springs are running, albeit lower than usual. I don’t know about the rainfall further south.
