Re kitty at plum orchard

Just over the border into Georgia is Plum Orchard Gap Shelter. There is a kitty living there that is certainly someones pet who was dumped or lost. The kitty is pretty good at fending for itself, but I am sure times will get lean as the hiker traffic lessens in the winter. The kitty was my buddy while I was there and it just bothered me to leave it out there when it really wants to be with some nice folks for the winter. Can anyone go rescue it? I live in Reno the low rent Vegas so it is quite a drive for me to rescue the kitty. I saw the kitty take down a chipmunk while I was there.

this is sad to hear. I am known as the cat lady by my friends as I have a numbr of rescued cats. Unfortunately I have hit my limit. If I remember that shelter had a copperhead nest, hope it does not get to small and slow that they get it…
