Re-supply data/data book

In the PCT data book there are 36 re-supply posts that are noted as having groceries, stores or supermarkets. Can anyone say which of these 36 have really well stocked shelves where it would be pointless to have a parcel drop. I understand many hold just a very limited stock.

Thanks

Chris Willett has some extensive resupply notes from his 2003 thru-hike. I’ve posted an itinerary from my 2004 thru-hike that might also be useful.

Yogi’s PCT Handbook goes into great depth concerning resupply strategies and what you can expect to find in each town.

From '03, here are places with big(ish) grocery stores:

Idyllwild
Big Bear
Agua Dulce (actually outside, but transit is easy)
Mojave
South Lake Tahoe
Chester
Ashland
Sisters
Cascade Locks

Here are places with quality gas stations/mini marts that should work for many people:

Cajon Pass/I-15 crossing (there is a McDonalds and big gas station)
Tuolumne Meadows
Sierra City
Dunsmuir
Seiad Valley

Easy for me resupply joints, other might not be happy:

Mount Laguna (cash only, I think)
VVR
Old Station
Burney Falls SP
Crater Lake
Snoqualmie Pass
Skykomish
Stehekin
