Re-Supply in the Whites

									Does anyone know if you can use the P.O. on top of Mount Washington for a re-supply? I'm thinking I read somewhere where you can't. Also, does any of the huts in the Whites have supplies you can purchase? May need a few things to get through, until I can reach town.

									Hi Gorp-Gobbler! Mt. Washington post office is not recommended for a re-supply spot. The number to the post office is 603 466-3347. Hope that helps. I did work for stay at the huts through the Whites. I found the huts would give food away if they had too much left. They also would charge for food. It varied from hut to hut. 									You can pick up some snacks like Cliff bars at the huts and quite often left over cookies, brownies, bread and other baked goods for a small donation. They also sell soup in the afternoon and if they have leftovers from breakfast they will put that out also. Top of Mt Washington also has a snack bar. In Crawford notch a small hitch in either direction will get you to some very limited resupply. Heading north through the notch towards Twin Mountain you can pick up some stuff at the AMC Highland Center and in the other direction is a campground with a small store.

									Thanks Big B, I appreciate your info. I plan on having  most of my resupply boxes sent out to me, as I've heard some areas have limited supplies. Just wanted to know if I could pick up a few things in a pinch. Thanks, this takes a big load off of me.

									You can get some re-supply food at joe don lodge to. I did the work for stay at the huts and bought a few candy bars. I had 4 days food and made it just fine.

									The serve AYCE meals at Pinkham Notch Joe Dodge if you stay there.  It is a very popular place with many cars coming and going all day. You can probable get a hitch into Gorham if you need food
