When applying for wilderness permits what exit point would you request if you leave the trail at Reds Meadow or Kearsarge Pass?

I think the Kearsarge Pass trailhead is Onion Valley. Not sure about Red’s Meadow. If you call to make reservtions, the staff-person should be able to help.
