Resupply in Sagauche?

Hi! I am planning my route for the CT this summer and it looks like I will have to resupply in Saguache after completing section 17. The guidebook says there is no convienent resupply points, but I was wondering if anyone knew differently. We end at HWY 114. If anyone has advice or information, please let me know.

Pronounced “Sawatch”, it’s a cool little town with a good supermarket and a great restaurant. But a long way from the trail. We will be angelling at the 18/19 border after 7/4 and provide free rides into Gunnison every day. Contact me offline if you like. apple

It would be better to supply in Salida before you reach Saguache (southbound). There is a Wal-Mart off HWY 50,hotels that cater to hikers as well as a hostel. Also, there is my own business here that I’m trying to get word out about. We can accept care packages here and offer a huge selection of trail mixes and dried fruits and veggies. I agree, mostly. Although Apple’s Gunny resupply is pretty constant (provided he has room); Apple is all about generosity and selflesness.

The hostel in Salida was pretty cool - but full alas when I was there; the owner shuttled us up to the trail (even if we were not staying there - good service).

Salida is a fine town, one of my favourites for the CT. Safeway and an outfitter. And Headwater IPA in the Amica brewery
