Resupply in Saguache/Gunnison area

First time thru-hiking the CT and I’m trying to resupply every 100 miles. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere to mail my food drop to that’s closer to the trail? I’d like to avoid the hitch into Gunnison or Saguache. I’ll be coming through around July 19th.

Thanks,
Erik

We will have an angel camp on Texas Creek near the 18/19 border. We will gladly give you a free shuttle to Gunni if you give us a head’s up about what day you will get there. Looks like the ice cream freezer will work ok. I found a propane version. apple

Apple - until what dates might the angel camp be operational?
Thanks

We will be there till mid August. There just isn’t enough trail traffic after this. If you are going to arrive after this let me know.

Thank you - I reckon I’ll be passing through around the 11/12th August so might just miss you; no real idea at how speedy I’ll be at 3000m elevation…as I live at 80m!

The locals call it going from sea level to ski level. A day or two in Denver will help you acclimatize.
