we’re an older couple who previously hike the pct(2007) to old station and now plan to go back and finish before we turn 70. we have a car rental to susanville (closest we could get to old station) and need a ride to old station or chester. does anyone know someone who might give us a ride (reasonable)? we would be there between april 30 and may 1st. tks & happy hiking

I’ve hiked sections of the PCT in CA and know and thinking of getting dropped of a Lassen National Park, an awesome place!, and hiking to Washington. Any info would be appreciated. Anyone interested in going would be cool too. Late July or early August start from Lassen.

You’d be starting in one of the less thrilling parts of the PCT, but it’s ok. 120 or so miles in you’d get to some really great stuff as you enter the various Klamath ranges. Your timing would be good, with mosquitos all gone, maybe some berries in Oregon, and decent chances of good weather.
