We´re planning to start from segment 20 on august 25th (saturday)
Anyone willing to give us 3 a ride / knows a way to get there from either Salida or Gunnison in the late afternoon / early evening?
would pay for a reasonable fare…

I would recommend a Etrex 30 + the state topo maps card for CO + Mapsource software. Small, inexpensive, work really well. Will hold the entire trail waypoint database. You need the basic Mapsource program to load waypoints into the gps. ($25)

Thanks I almost got the Etrex 30, but ended up with the 20 as it comes preloaded with US map parks map. I will look up mapsource. 20 should holds 10,000 I think. Anyway I get tomorrow…can’t wait.
