With the high runoff year, I’m interested in the condition of the Rio Grande River ford at Rio Grande Reservoir Rd/Pole Creek Section 24 of CT.
Anyone done that crossing this summer?

I just completed my CT thru-hike and the Pole Creek Section of 23/24 has been rerouted to follow the continental divide now for 17+ miles…so there is no Rio Grande Ford.
At Cataract Lake, instead of going down the pole creek trail, you stay up on the divide. It is an awesome new section (albeit grueling – almost 5000 ft of elevation gain) The reroute comes back in at roughly mile 7 of segment 24 right when you come down off of the divide into the Elk Creek Canyon.
