Rocket and the Flying Scotsman eat....A LOT!

Well, from our end, the weekend with Rocket and the Scot went VERY well, though they do eat a LOT!!! I don’t think they stopped eating the whole time we were home.
My parents got to talk to some real thru-hikers and got all sorts of hints and tips that they’re going to try out for me. Not to mention the fact that they’ve decided to start a hostel! hahahaha!
We celebrated St. Patrick’s day a couple days early, the Flying Scotsman having a “Smokin’ Scottish ale” and confusing the bar tenders asking for a glass of “Wa-er”(It took me saying “water” three times for them to finally understand!).
So, the guys are doing good and are back on the trail as of 3:30 today. They were hoping to hike forward from Punchbowl for 7 miles to the next shelter, though the rain may have pushed them back.
Anyway, just thought I’d send a wee update :slight_smile: Hope everyone had a good weekend! Happy Hiking!

These guys have been putting down some miles. I am not surprised that their appetites and thirsts are hardy. They are hikers elite, the best there is, bar none in my opinion. These guys will go far in life. Just hope they do drive themselves too far and too hard with their never say die and can do attitudes. Take it easy guys and have a little fun. Slow down and enjoy. Keep on hiking.:happy

I had a bushmills in the oniels irish pub deep in the heart of london… thought about FS, and shot another bushmills whisky back… aaaaaaaah :slight_smile:

I tried to go drink for drink with FS, but it didn’t work too well! Especially since he was drinking beer and I was drinking liquer!(Thankfully, Rocket didn’t drink and was able to drive us home safely :slight_smile: )
