Im curious to find out who will be on the trail with me in 2005. Anyone else planning a 2005 thru hike and is leaving around March 1st??

My husband and I are planning a thruhike for 2005. He wants to leave late Feb. or early March. I’m not sure if I can handle the snow, so start date is not set yet. Isn’t it nice to have something grand to look forward to?

Sure is! Im always thinking about the trail and cant wait to get out there. Ill be leaving Oswego, NY on Feb 25th and driving to GA. Ill prolly hit the trail around the first. See you on the trail, if not have a good hike and good luck!:cheers

My wife and I are (probably going by the name Waffle and Chicklet or Danger Pea). I’m getting a leave from my job for 8 months, and plan on starting on the 1st, 2005! So very exciting!
We tried in 2001, but my wife got horrendous neuromas in her feet. We didn’t understand it at the time, but all we knew was she was crying with every step. We did make it to Front Royal before it finally was too much…

I will be leaving sunny Florida around the 27th of Feburary and am starting the hike on the 1st. Can’t wait to see you all out there!

Okay, “Danger Pee” it is!!! (there must be a good story there . . . )
Assuming the 2004 CDT hike is successful, I’ll be on the AT in 2005. But, I’m not playing with GA-NC-TN in the winter again. Brrrrrrr. I’ll probably start mid to late April, and try to make it to Kincora around Trail Days time. That’s all the planning I’m going to do!!

Is there anyone else planning for NOBO 2005 but starting later (late April/early May)due to the end of a school year?
It is one of my greatest hopes, to be on the AT next year!
