Starting on the Mass border, first weekend in August, hoping to be in canada 21 days later!

Starting July 30th (or 31st depending on how long it takes to get from Burlington to Journey’s End) at the Northern Terminus.

The Whistle Stop was open last year during my AT thru. When did it close? Sorry to hear that as I missed it last year. :frowning:

I was doing a little hiking on the southern portion of the trail in late May, and saw that some Northbounders started at the Massachusetts line a week or so earlier. There must have been at last 6-10 names headed that way a few days apart, so they’d have been long done by now. I guess they’re not the posting type.

Anyone out there done their hitch yet?

I might have been one of the people Jersey is talking about. I started second week in May with Scraps and Chef Hogan (Not Chef he was a few days ahead of us) but was not able to finish. One of my partners and I were both having knee problems and called it quits a couple miles past Killington and turned back for town. I was part of the group Flameboy nicknamed Hogan’s Heroes. Planning to finish next summer.

I’ll be on the trail heading either north from Mbury or south from Journey’s end…I might have to section it pending some work considerations, but I’ll be out there.

Just finished a 22-day SOBO journey yesterday. Whooo-hoooo! With all of the rain over the past few weeks, I “waded” a good portion of the trail.

I did see Bottle-Rocket’s name in several of the registers during my journey. Hope ya made it!
