Route? - The Colorado Trail

I am planning a 10 day backpacking trek on some of the CT from June 18th-28th. I hope to bag a couple of 14ers (Massive, Elbert) - but chose a couple of easier ones I think. I plan on leaving from Leadville and hiking the CT South and hope to leave the CT ‘somewhere’ so I can loop back to Leadville. Does anyone have suggestions as to a possible route that would run me for about 10 days?? Any other info (that is pretty vague I know!) about the trail would be appreciated as well. (Well marked? Heavy usage? Bear activity?..)
Thanks for your help!

I hiked the CT last year from Breckinridge to Bueana Vista and thought that the trail was wonderfully marked and easy to follow. I never so a bear but did see some scat here and there but the squirrels were a big problem if I camped in a well used area. It took me ten days to do this section and the hitch down the forest service road hard. The road is an eroded rutty mess. In ten days we so hardly any hikers except near the trails to 14ers and around Brekenridge and Copper Mountain.
