Good Lord. Could Trailjournals please get some new pictures for the main page? I see the same 3 or 4 pictures everytime I check the site…Jan Liteshoes…Leif and Whoever…Rocket and Bono…
Same ones over and over and over…bleh!
It’ll be the year 2020 and we’ll have a project 3D holographic image of Jan Liteshoes AT 2003 on our screen when we check this site…

I Agree, was wondering why they don’t put different pictures up on a weekly or monthly basis. Would sure make a lot of people happy.

you guys crack me up!..(LOL!..ahhhh…only on trail journals!)…seriously, though, i hafta just say i’m pleased with trail journals…(by the way,we know some of these “mugs” on the main page!..hey, john!..hey dimples!..hey bono!..so i don’t mind seein’ them again)…i’m amazed that ANY of this stuff comes together!..(glad folks don’t have to depend on ME to manage this site!)…besides, there’s PLENTY of other photos to view if you just access the journals…i think i kinda like the format here…i think i kinda even like the main page…

okay…i was just able to access some of the best photos i’ve seen (and a fun journal entry, too) all just by clicking on jan’s photo on the main page…lucky for me the photo was still up! (got to see and read about several of our old acquaintances from’03)…sooooo…yep!..i think i’m definitely happy with the “main page arrangement”!

There are thousands of photos if you click on gallery. It would take a long time to look at them all.

A-Train, I HATE that picture… yuck yuck yuck. I told BB I have seen her little mug so much it makes me want to yak!! – She thinks I’m just jealous. I haven’t got a green bone in my body.:x
Really though, the guys here at TJ’s are really pretty busy with life. They manage to get to the site to take care of more pressing issues like out Avatar photos and direct links and journal specific issues.
I just don’t think that they really have the time to sit play with photos. Therefore, let’s keep enjoying the great journals found here and quietly suffer through seeing Liteshoe, Stumpy, BlueBearee and few of the others over and over. It is a small price to pay.

Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy this site! I would just like to see a few more pics are thrown into the random mix at some point. And some of the older ones given a well earned break.

I presume a calendar of female thru-hikers has been suggested because female thru-hikers are a notch above your average Joe thru-hiker. Women cope with the same difficulties as all other thru-hikers - lowering pack weight, blisters, mosquitos etc. What really sets us apart is that we also deal with the rare male hiker who thinks we’re out on the trail as cute eye-candy.

There is a calender in the works - the PCT women of 06! Treehugger is putting it together and should be available at the kick off party - I think she is taking orders over email too. There wern’t many of us this (last) year, but we were hard core and very dirty.
