Sardines in foil pouches

Most folks who can eat sardines agree they’re tasty, easy to eat, inexpensive and high in protein and good oils. But the messy empty cans are a problem to pack out - and they don’t belong in fire rings. If tuna and salmon and be packaged in easy to burn foil pouches, why not sardines? Has anyone every seen sardines or kippers in a foil pouch?

Just do what MS does. Find a log on the ground and just put them on the ground on the other side. No need to dig a hole or anything.
