Starting with the first of January you should hike every weekend and day off from school. There are about 5 months worth of weekends before 1 June so you should have about 40 hiking days not even counting 3 day weekends. Throw in Spring break and on a NOBO thru you could be to Rockfish Gap by the time you start Summer break and if you keep up a good pace you should be able easily jt to make it to the end by Labor Day. If you come up short you can use the weekends in Sept and the first half of Oct finish up.

Train, train, train. Then thru-hike in 100 days. Better yet, take a semester off, for pete's sake. You'll see.

Don't make the mistake of rushing through something like this just to be able to do it. If you're wanting to make this commitment, first finish or put on hold the commitment with school you've already made. You don't want rush something as beautiful and powerful as the Appalachian Trail.
