I just found the section of this website where future thru-hikers post their journals - looks like a good class for '05.

I still can’t fnd the section for future thru-hikes. How do I get to it?

You have to click on Trail jnounals at the VERY top of the page. then it will show a deal for journals and years. Click on all it will show years up to 2013.
