Section B water situation?

The PCT water report page doesn’t show any updates from the past few months for water sources between Pines-to-Palms Hwy. and Mt. San Jacinto.

Does anybody have even a general idea if the popular springs (Tunnel Spring, Cedar Spring, Apache Spring, etc.) are fairly reliable in autumn? We’ll be hiking next week.

thanks!!!

I live in this area and the only springs or other water sources that are reliable at this time of year are: Live Oak Spring, Tule Spring, and Lost Valley Spring. Cedar and Apache are horrendous hikes off trail and are probably dry anyway. Don’t forget the restaurant 1 mile north on Hwy 74. The Lost Valley Spring information in the guidebooks is completely incorrect. The spring is only 300 yards from the trail, is not vandalized, and has excellent water.
