Anyone doing any section hiking this fall? A crew of us are gonna start down in Tennessee and hike up to Maryland. Just wondering if anyone else is cruising that a way. I imagine we’ll run into some weekenders. Hope everyone is getting psyched up for the summer solstice.

We are doing a similar hike this fall too!! Maybe we’ll see you and your crew!! Fall hiking is my favorite!! Have you done this hike before? I hear hiking out of Hot Springs is a bear? We’ll start of with low mileage, being that we are old and what not!

I will be hiking north from Clingman’s at the end of Sept-beginning of August for a week or two. I have hiked in the Fall previously, it is fantastic; cool, no bugs, lots of space and great fall colors-section hiking at it’s best. Hope to see y’all out there.

Me and a couple of buddies are going to hike the Benton MacKaye Trail across the Smokies this Fall…Hopefully it will be a nice scenic trip…

starting sometime in Oct. at winding stair gap and will get thru the smokies. went last year from springer at about the same time and it was great… not hot no bugs met several south bounds finishing up…
