hi gang! going to section from franconia south to darby, vt. in august. how is that section of trail? as hard as it looks in trail book? some comparisons to rest of n.h., maine and central pa. would help. thanks

The trail from Franconia Notch past Moosilauke is very tough but after that its not too bad. Mostly moderate climbs and good treadway. DOC does a fine job. I hiked that piece last weekend and it was in good shape. I also found Vermont not to be too difficult compared to the Whites in NH.
