Seeking a Partner

Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum, but figured that this would be a good place to start. I am a planning a S-N thru trip starting in the first part of March. Although I had planned this as a solo trip, I am interested in teaming up with someone if there’s anyone in a similar position.
I also plan on shooting a documentary about the hike (yep, that means carrying film equipment, but I’m used to it), so hey, what better opportunity for you (or someone you know) to become a movie star! Actually, it won’t be a big-budget kind of thing, but I’m hoping to get a connection with the AZT Association and get some distribution out of it if all goes well.
That’s all besides the point though.
If you’re planning a thru hike and want to at least get together to discuss some options, let me know. My start date is flexible, as I have taken the semester off of work and school for this hike and can work with you on when to start, but I would like to shoot for early March.

About me: Avid hiker (although this will be my first BIG trail hike). Twenty-five year old, male. Reasonably fit (bigger build than most long distance hikers, but I’m hoping that might help). Born and raised in Alaska, moved to Arizona in 2006 for college. I currently live in Flagstaff, but travel to the Phoenix area on a regular basis if you live in that part of the state and want to meet up to discuss options.

Alright, this posting is getting to be a bit too long, so I’ll leave it at that. If you’re interested, just drop a reply and we’ll go from there.

I am interested in discussing how to join you on this hike, as I have been hoping this is my year to start the trail.

Good to hear that you’re interested. Where are you living? Even if we don’t end up hiking together, I would like to meet up and discuss the trail and possibilities that you might be going over.

Stephan,
I’d be happy to discuss some logistics with you. Being that you’re living out of state, we could meet up on skype or something like that. I figure that I’ve still got a month before starting the hike, but I’m doing a lot of the planning now. I actually spent a good portion of my day weighing gear and I took about three hours last night plotting water locations. So although I don’t have all of the details worked out, I’d love to share any information that I have with you.
Let me know what the best way to connect with you will be.
