Where can I get a set of plans or diagrams to build a AT type shelter? I thought the Low Gap or Tray Mtn shelters looked similar and thought there might be a somewhat standard design they were both built around. Thanks for any help in advance.

Somewhere recently I read of a place to get these plans, but I can’t find it now. Contact the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. I feel certain you can find something through them.
Eager Beaver
Eager Beaver is right. Check with the ATC. We helped build the one in TN in 06 (Mountaineer?). Worked with Bob at Hard Core after Trail Days. Bob said the plans were approved by ATC.
Papa Smurf
The Maine Appalachian Trail Club (MATC) wrote a book on building log lean-tos (New England for Shelter). It the basis for almost all the shelters in Maine. Available through the ATC.
