Shenendoah NP section transportation

									Want to park at the north end, ride to the south end, hike back to car. Anybody know of good transportation?

									Mike Evans: I also may be interested in a shuttle @ SNP in the coming month or two (if not, in the fall)May I take the liberty of saving your number and giving you a call when the time comes? Generally, how nuch lead time do you need, and do you have a safe parking area for my vehicle?

									You might try going to or calling the Visitor's Center in Waynesboro (just south of Shenendoah). They have an extensive list of trail angels that may help you out for free. When we called one of their angels in '07, we had a ride into town within 10 minutes, got a tour of where the important places were(post office, library, grocery, etc.) She dropped us off at our hotel and waited while we checked in. Then dropped us off at Weazy's Diner for a huge breakfast. It doesn't get much better than that. Gotta Love those trail angels.   :)

									Thanks, Slinky Dog. That is welcome information, and may come in very handy.Do you know if there are there good places available (in/around Waynesboro) to park my car while I hike?

									I've twice left my vehicle at Rockfish Gap Outfitters. They were nice about it and the Wrangler was in one piece when we got back~J.

									Will some trail angels go as far as Staunton, as I may finish up a section hike at Rockfish Gap and will need to grab Amtrak from there?

(I could get on at Charlottesvile, too, but that’s even farther)
