I was curious if anyone else had xperience with a sierra zip especially in baxter… are there any issues about using it there. I have decided this will be my mainline stove but not sure about what regulatory issues might be involved

I’ve seen a few used a long the AT. Not a common stove.

Most places that prohibit open fires don’t consider them to be an open fire, so I wouldn’t worry about it. But, on the other hand, I don’t recall anyone having one when I was in Baxter last year, probably because they are not very common.

good stove. plenty of fuel everywhere. don’t worry about baxter, you’ll probably only cook one meal in there.

I used and am using the zip stove and I love it. Used it on the AT and had no fuel problems after I learned to carry birthday candles (the stay lite type for starters. They are cheap & light.I did break down & buy the pan that comes with it which works better.I improvised a grid with ears Or loops that stick up as I had problems with the pan sliding. I don’t like to carry fuel bottles and so this works great for me. Good Luck Cowboy
