I have the one and two person version. I like a tent because I like refuge from bugs when I sleep. I bought them both last fall, without doing any research. Afterwards, I heard about major condensation issues. I haven’t had a problem yet, but if I’d heard about the problems before I’d bought them, I might have reconsidered. I can’t dis my tent yet, but many others have.

We have recently purchased a Tacoma 4 Two from Dancing Light Gear. We love our tent! It is light and easy to set up. Condensation has not been an issue since we leave part of the door “cracked” while we sleep even though we have have been out in 25* weather, we have been warm and dry! When it’s warmer, we leave the doors open.

The Zeus 2 by Eureka has many good points–lightweight, luxuriously roomy, easy setup, relatively low cost. Some complain about zippers snagging and condensation.
I’ve had one for about 1-1/2 years and mostly like it. The zipper thing is really a non-issue once you learn the little trick to avoid snagging.
Condensation happens sometimes, and may be aggravating enough to turn some against this tent. I’ve learned to live with it by carrying a few of those re-usable shop towels that come in a roll. The tent I had before this one–a Clip Flashlight–collected even more condensation on the underside of the fly which dripped through the netting on the tent body, so which is worse? At least with the Zeus I can get to it and wipe it down.
The benefits outweigh the negatives IMO.

I have been using a second hand single wall single person tent now for several years and I love it. It is my favorite tent for all seasons. It is an old Garuda (now Dana Designs). Cost a bundle, but it is about 12 years old and has seen alot of use. I think it weights about 3.5 lbs. I found no condensation problems.

I bought the Kelty Dart 2 a few years ago, a single-wall lightweight tent, also supposedly 2-person and well-ventilated. Ok, so more like 1 person + maybe a cat, and DEFINITELY not ventilated at all…very little mesh…it was extremely stuffy. These things plus a few other strange design features made me return it after only 1 use.
I was wary for a time about owning another single-wall tent…still the weight savings re. them is seducing, so I am about to purchase one of the Henry Shires tarptents. Even though I haven’t seen one in the flesh yet I’ve heard good things; based on the overall design (liberal use of mesh) and maybe getting the 2-person model I think would overcome the probs I had with my first single-wall tent experience.

I bought the Tarptent Squall, and love it. Lightest tent I have ever had, great ventilation, never been dripped on inside. check it out at tarptent.com

Stephensons ten is what I have. rated as expedition tent, weighs 2 pounds, sleep 2. Love it

I got a Six Moon Designs Europa a while back and
have had no condensation issues, yet. But there is
plenty of mesh in the door, and a mesh vent at the
foot, so I just leave the door open most of the time.
The new Europa II design looks good, too.
The weight savings are excellent, at about 2.25 lbs.
(plus pole)
compared to my old 4 lb. Coleman Inyo 2.
Well worth the bucks, IMHO.
Now, if only I can get to Trail Days and try on a few
new backpacks, maybe I can save another 1-2 lbs.

I agree with Skyline on the Zeus. I would like to modify mine by taking off the vestibule and adding an awning made of silnylon.
