Hey You Foreigners:
Probably better to cushion it at the end, that way you don’t have to hurry or worry. If you have time left over after your hike, but before your flight, there would probably be lots of people you met on your hike you could stay with/visit until its time to leave. Plus, Maine is really nice in the Fall and has lots of great seaside towns and harbors to explore.
