Sleeping bag - Appalachian Trail

Just wondering if anybody out there has any experience with the REI Sub Kilo +20 down bag. I would love to purchase a Western Mountaineering Ultralite bag but can’t afford one. The REI bag has similar qualities (750 down, full zip, 29 0unces, 7.5 x 15 stuff size) but about only half the price on sale. I hate buying gear that I can’t find a review on. Anybody?

The Sub Kilo is an excellent bag. I used one for 2 years with no issues.

Well I have a REI Sub Kilo as my 3 season bag and it works well and I have used it down to 12 deg now I got a little cold at about 3-4am but I was on snow and using a 2/3 length REI air core pad and the bag has many miles on it and I have been thinking about getting 900fp down to replace the old 750fp down with. FYI… I sleep warm.

Oh yeah the only think I don’t like is the lefthand zip

Thanks for all your help. I decided to go with the Sub Kilo based on Garlic’s review help and the personal comments from you other guys. Hopefully I will see you all on the AT this April!
