Today at Wal-Mart I found a cute little frying pan with no stick coating called the “One egger”.
After removing the handle and cutting 1/2" off the side of the pan (which took a good hour
with a hacksaw and Dremal cutting wheel, (I’d suggest taking it to a machine shop and see
if they can cut it down for a reasonable price!), the weight is down to 2.3 oz, about half
of what it was when I started. The pan now nests pretty well at the outside, bottom of my MSR titanium
pot so it adds little bulk to the pack and the cover for the pot fits pretty well over the fry pan.
It will be nice to be able to make pancakes and fry up spam cheese burgers on the trail for
a change!
