Smokys in June - Appalachian Trail

									Any need for cold weather gear for a hike through the Smokys around the 1st week in June?

									It is very rare for temps to fall below 50 after May 20th in the Smokies.  (Lived in the area for 45 years) Just to be safe bring a 150 weight merino long sleeve and long pant with a light down for sitting around camp.  Enjoy the trip!

									I did the Smokys in June of 08.  Had a 20 degree bag when I started at Springer but sent it home at Neels Gap and bough a 50 degree bag.  Haven't used anything else since in May - Aug.

A fleece top and rain gear is all you need.
