What’s the deal here? The last TWO times I have slept (or should I say, laid in agony) in the shelter, SNORE BEARS have killed any chance of a good nights rest in the back country.
Just recently, there was a group of five sleeping in the shelter, and a boy and a girl were trying to, what seemed like, battle for the Grandest Snore! Both of 'em going at the same time almost drove me MAD. If I was the judge, by the way, the girl would have won!
Anyway, how do other hikers in the shelter deal with this involuntary annoyance? I once poked/nudged/kicked a hiker with my feet to shut his ass up. Was that rude or was it more rude for that hiker to keep everyone in the shelter laying awake?
Ear plugs? Might work, but who really wants to carry the extra weight? Oh, that’s an idea - duct tape nose and mouth shut! That will work great! J/K
Feedback from Snore Bears and Non-Snore Bears appreciated…
