This year was pretty healthy for snow in most of OR… about average. Not sure if that’s the case into northern CA. Anyway, you’re going to run into snow with that schedule. Probably nothing dangerous given the terrain… just postholing, and probably a lot of traverses over snow fingers (which I guess could be dangerous, but it’s hard to predict). You’ll be crossing through just as things are melting. My experience has been that skeeters start a couple weeks after the bulk of the snow melts… then get worse for a few weeks thereafter before slowly getting “better”. You might get lucky and sneak through toward the end of the snow melt and before the skeeters hatch, but that’s a narrow window, and changes year-to-year.
