Anybody ever do any winter camping and snowshoeing up there? I heard backpacking in from the valley to Little Yosemite Valley isn’t too difficult. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I’ve done quite a bit of winter camping in Yosemite, usually on skis. Haven’t done the Valley to Little Yosemite Valley trip, but I think it would be very doable with snowshoes, and depending on which part of “winter” you chose, you might be walking on bare ground for a significant part of the distance. Other good trips are from Badger Pass area to Dewey Point, Glacier Point, etc. If you have time and feel comfortable snow camping, I highly recommend heading off the beaten path in Yosemite in the winter. On a 5 day ski tour, I didn’t see any other people for 3 days, an amazing experience in the gorgeous but often over-populated world of Yosemite. Have fun!
