I’m planning on doing section B, c, and D in mid april and was wondering which trail towns are the easiest to hitch or walk into.
I have the option of leaving a few food caches (in bear cans) along the way as I drive down to Warner and am trying to decide which towns to hitch into and which ones to bypass and just leave a food cache somewhere near the road.
Any advice?

You won’t need a drop in Julian (but could hitch for lunch).
Paradise Cafe is <1 mi from Pines to Palms Highway (lunch). Idylwild is a 15 mile hitch from Pines to Palms or 2.5 mi trail, 2 mi road walk at the Devils Slide Trail.
Cabazon isn’t worth it.
Bear Bear is a hitch from Rt 18 or a 3 mi road walk later up the trail at van Dunsen Canyon Rd.
You could probably leave a drop at the motel at I-15.
Wrightwood is a 4.5 mi hike or 5 mi hitch on Rt 2 from further up the trail.
You walk into Agua Dulce.
IMO, all the towns mentioned are great, and hitching isn’t all that bad.
