Sorry if this is a repeat thread, but I searched the forum and couldn’t find this info.
For all of you silly SoBo’s, when are you departing? I see the “depart” dates for those who have journals on TJ, but I know there’s gotta be more of us out there.
I called the Katahdin reservations desk today and have sent in my tentsite reservation form (& $$). I’m planning to be at Katahdin Stream Campground the evenings of May 28th and 29th. Wanted to avoid the Memorial Weekend crowd but still get a May start. I plan to camp the afternoon/evening of the 28th, then start hiking early (~3 or 4am) on the 29th, summit Katahdin, and then spend that night at the same campsite. Then I’ll head south starting Friday the 30th.
