It varies between spring and summer like weather depending on latitude and altitude. Its best to be prepared for cool temps at night (and bugs during the day). Check out this web page for offical statistics on weather along the AT in Maine and everywhere else:

Data from the Millinocket and Greenville airports (roughly the two ends
of the Hundred Mile Wilderness and at about 800’) says the ave. temps were:
Date High Low
5/15 63 40
6/01 68 47
6/14 72 49
6/21 76 53
7/04 76 54
On June 27th last year temps on the Tableland were in the 80s.
The ave. high/low stays about 75/55 thru Labor Day.
Expect much cooler temps at altitude, and in the rain, that’s why you need layers.

Early June can be very cold especially if you are camping up high. I have been hiking in June in the White Mts where it was snowing so hard I had to set up my tent in the middle of the trail because visibility was so bad on the ridge I couldn’t follow the trail. The next day I was hiking in shorts and tee shirt. Generally though June hiking has pleasant temps and terrible bugs.
