when do the sobo’s arrive in western nc every year, I might have to visit the trail more if there will be sobos. I can let my girlfreind meet a crazy person during their hike.

A lot of sobos have been arriving here in Damascus the past couple of weeks.

I am a Southbound thru-hiker and I am in North Carolina right now. I am currently at the Nantahala Outdoor Center today(October 16). I am hiking with two other SOBO’s also. I know of a few other SOBO’s who will be in Western North Carolina in the next week or so. 4 or more SOBO’s have already finished the trail this year.

Hey Turkey Bacon! You gave myself and another hiker a ride from Damascus earlier this year, after trail days. Thanks for the lift. Will you be there next year?

I’ve been at home 2 weeks now, going crazy. Hope all is well for you…from what it sounds like, you should be getting a good group of SOBO’s from next week, and continuing for about a week. Good luck w/ the freak out!
