Just got back from a weekend hike in Pa. (Windsor Furnace to Route 309) The Fall colors are peaking! Met 5 SOBO hikers on Sunday. Three went to Port Clinton for the night and two went to Windsor Furnace LT. I was kind of surprised that they were still coming through. Hope the cold weather doesnt catch them!

Generally the footing is rocky and slow going especially with the wet leaves. From Windsor Furnace to Eckville the trail is good. It is very rocky from Dan’s Pulpit to Allentown LT and then good again from there to the power line at New Tripoli. At that point it pretty much stays rocky for quite a while (at least to Lehigh Gap). The good news is that this is a scenic section of trail with good views! Hope this helps. When are you heading out? Good Hiking!
