3 women planning a month on AT to end at Damascus for Trail Days next year. Is it doable? Will it be enjoyable? What will the low temps be? Will mountain laurel be blooming?? THANKS

If you are starting on springer allow 35 days to get to damascus that doesn’t include your zero’s i have thru-hiked the AT three times and it always have taken me 35 days. but if your in good shape with a quite a bit of hiking experience it could be done in 30 days would it be enjoyable probably NOT.:cheers :cheers

You are hiking between April 15 and May 15. It will be cold and snow on you at least once. Overnight lows can be below freezing and highs only in the mid 40’s on average. The only thing blooming will be blackberries and dogwoods. Not all that enjoyable. Why not start at Trail days and head North for a month? You would catch the Azalias and the Rhodies…and much better weather
