Is very good!!!

You guys/gals/yellow-blazers have to check this movie out. I got a chance to see it, and was pleasantly surprised. I expected it to look like 2000 Miles to Maine or something.

I was wrong. Just the color of the film is awesome. The cinematography is the best I’ve seen in a trail-related film, and the story is top-notch. Ben Wager, the director who also hiked the trail a few years ago, incorporates a lot of typical thru-hiker experiences, including mooning the cog-railway on Mt. Washington.

I’m not Roger Ebert, and my two-thumbs may not mean much, but I’m sticking them up - way up.

For those of you in the northern Maine area, come check out the showing at:

Greenville High School, Friday April 14th, at 7 p.m.

(And no, I didn’t get paid for this . . . but money can change my mind:))

I thought it to be okay. It was obviously shot out of sequence and in a nonlogistically accurate way.
This is fine of course and the girl did a good job.
But for out and out trail films, I prefered Trek and Walking With Freedom. Both show a lot of the AT, both have interesting characters and both are real hikers doing real films.

I would agree SoBos is worth seeing, if only for some found memories.:cheers

I really like the movie. It was shown at the SoRuck, and got a good reception there because of the little touches hikers recognize–sorting the dead weight out of the pack, etc. Lots of laughs.

The soundtrack is excellent and has just been released on CD.

Where can you buy the music CD?

I saw the premier in Lexington, NC, BBQ capital of the world, and one of the strangest places to see an AT film.

BUT, I also was impressed with this guy’s first attempt at a feature length story. Though being out of sequence was noticeable, it didn’t really ruin the story for me.

Jay Nash did most of the music for the story. He even played a few tunes after the movie–good stuff! Check it out at: http://www.jaynash.com/

It’ll be showing at Trail Days, too!

I think the movie was GREAT and the best way I can think to support efforts like this is to BUY IT, like I did. One of the best $20.00 I’ve spent.
