Anyone near springer or the noc see that awesome christmas eve moon that I saw??? I spent this christmas about 40 miles west of the NOC and 60 miles north of springer, and the moon on xmas eve was wild! It was very bright, almost full, but it appeared smaller in the sky than normal. It was surrounded by a large halo that took up about a quarter of the visable sky if you were looking straight up at the moon as I was. insided the halo but outside the moon was very clear, and the halo was bright and reflecting light also. Outside the halo was darker, but transparent as I could see stars. I immediately thought of angels and Gods message on this holiest of nights. did anyone else see this miracle/phenomenom???

I noticed the same exact moon ring on 12/23 in south Louisiana. Beautiful ice ring far out from the moon-with light refracting outward. Quite impressive.
