Can anyone let Squeaky know what the fastest unsupported time there is for some-one doing the Appalachin Trail. How long and when was it achieved.
Thanks guys (His mum)

The record is held by Chip “Ward” Lenord at 66 days unsupported back in the mid-1990s. I believe this is the correct number of days. Ward told me all about the hike on night at Deep Gap in Georgia.

60 days 10 hours he told me. He actually hiked the whole AT 3 times in 10 months. The 60 day hike was the second of the three. 2 northbounds, and one southbound.

Thanks for the correction on days lone wolf. The 48 day record was supported. Ward called a full pack and went to town for resupplies.
