Spenco Insoles - Appalachian Trail

I know somebody already asked about insoles, but I am looking to buy a pair of “Spenco Backpacker” insoles for my upcoming AT thru-hike. Anybody out there have experiences with Spenco Backpacker insoles? What are the pros/cons. I’ve heard of Superfeet actually hurting your feet if they aren’t right for you, but do Spenco insoles do the same. Also, I have a wide foot, will this matter. I am new at backpacking so I need all the help I can get. Thanks.

Spencos are cushy and a bit cheaper, but they won’t last as long. I started with Spencos and worked up to Superfeet. It’s true, Superfeet can take some getting used to…I don’t have much of an arch.

I’m just a slackpacker and I use Powersteps. I was wondering if anyone has tried these long distance and how they hold up.
