Does anyone know if you can camp at Spivey Gap, and is it safe since there is a road there?

There is a campsite right off of the road crossing at Spivey Gap. It's a really nice one and there is a great creek crossing there. I've seen cars parked overnight at Spivey but I don't know whether it is safe for parking or for camping.

some people I have been hiking with stayed there .. umm.. how long ago now? last week? .. anyway, they said it was good to go. Nice area, easy water. There is also a camp site further south if you dont feel comfortable being so close to the road, but it seems ok to me.
