I am planning a section hike in July and will go from Clingman’s Dome to Erwin,Tn. I would like to stay at this hostel as I have heard a lot of good things about it. However, I have been unable to find either a telephone number or an address. Two questions. 1) Obviously, how do I get in touch with them? 2) Do they hold drop boxes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning a section hike in this area also, from Fontana to Erwin, in June. Can anyone give me a general idea where Standing Bear Farms is along the way. I may be able to stay there too and will call them if it seems like they are in an area I will be (or could be) stopping. Thanks.

Going North from Davenport Gap, after crossing under I-40 go up stairs at Waterville Road. Next road crossing is also Waterville Road. When you get to it turn left and SBF is first farm on right. Not more than a couple of hundred yards off the Trail.
