That's really not that bad of a pack weight, i'm assuming that's including water/food ?
Would need to see a gear list, not in detail … just you’re major items, pack/bag/pad/tent … those 4 are generally under 10 pounds … like mine are
3 lb 11oz pack
1 lb 4oz pad
2 lb 4oz 15 degree to start, 1 lb 6oz late spring/summer bag
2 lb 13oz tent
4-5 days of food, 2 pounds per day … thats up around 18 pounds … 2 lbs per liter of water …
what else ya carryin? … Water filter? Drops?
Rain jacket, too much clothes? One set for hiking, one set for camp … extra shirt if you want, i always carry two cause one’s always wet from sweat … dries overnight in your sleeping bag … puffy for a pillow? 2 pairs of socks will do, 1 thick pair for camp if you want … your first aid kit should be minimal, towns are so close together … i prefer canister and a pocket rocket for a stove with snow peak titanium cookset, you could go lighter with alchohol and single pot for boiling water … i could go on an on but don’t know what you’re currently carrying … help us out. =P
