February 15th is average for lows above 20 degrees in Port Clinton. Weather will be cooler on the ridges. Maybe start end of February?

boy, what an awful stretch from Port Clinton to Water Gap to start a hike on. At least you’ll be at fairly low elevation and it won’t be as cold as on higher peaks.

Living about 20 miles from Port Clinton I would have to say that if you want to have temperatures no lower then 20 you should not start until mid March. It’s normally pretty cold at night up on those rocky mountains well into April.
