Do southbounders usually begin hiking in June? I have to begin in June because that is when I graduate. I think it is pretty much unpractical to go northbound starting in June, but what about southbound?

You could even start later going Southbound from what I hear and have read from journals. Going North I was on the AT last year for a month and didn’t see many at all who started in June on Springer. You’d have to haul butt to get to K by the 15th of October, and it may be a bit lonely. But then again, I loved going North. My ex never really liked going South though… oooh!
