Whats the best way to stash water in southern NM on the CDT? I know there are a few water stash boxes along the way but if I put water in them Maybe someone will swipe it? I have a few Ideas but wouldnt mind hearing from you experts out there. Thanks!!

Write your name on the water jugs with an approximate date of arrival. Most hikers will honor that. Then if you don’t arrive by a week or so from that date, others may take the water. Be sure to remove your empty water jugs. We ran into a lot of empty ones left behind as trash. Not cool.
