For PCTers heading northbound, just a little FYI
There was a rather large new fire around Stehekin. As I was hiking up through Oregon and southern washington, I heard from southbounders everything from “The whole town is closed down” to “The shuttle is not running”.
I’m in snoqualmie now heading north, and I just checked in with Stehekin. while there was a new fire around the town, it has been managed, and the town is fully up and running…including the shuttle…and most importantly, the bakery 
lakewood
